❤️ Huge Milestone for Scotty’s Skatepark in Tahoe City 🛹

The Scotty Lapp Foundation/Scotty Lapp Memorial Skatepark is proud to be one of seven recipients of this year’s North Tahoe Community Alliance/Placer County TOT BID funding, receiving a $400,000 grant to support construction of Scotty’s Skatepark in Tahoe City. Combined with the $600,000 already raised, this milestone brings the nearly four-year community effort significantly closer to breaking ground.

With unanimous support from local agencies, schools, and business leaders, the team is now focused on securing final approvals and moving into construction—turning this long-envisioned community resource into a reality for generations to come.

We are so proud of this community for continuously engaging in this process. 💪🏻

This is what advocating for a local skatepark in Tahoe City looks like. Thanks to our community members for supporting a much-needed local amenity. So proud of our youth and their commitment to this process. #SeeYouAtScottys

TTUSD’s unanimous Board of Directors Approval!

At the May 15th TTUSD Board of Education meeting, the TTUSD’s Board of Directors voted (unanimously) to authorize district staff to work on an agreement with Tahoe City Public Utility District to change the use of the existing dog park located at 211 Grove Street, Tahoe City, CA, to a community skate park! We are so excited to continue our goal to develop a public skate park for the North Lake Tahoe communities – an inclusive, accessible, community-minded, and safe space for all.
